Welcome to Hsu’s Ginseng
Visit Hsu’s Ginseng Enterprises, Inc. in the Heart of Ginseng Country
Located in Wausau, Wisconsin U.S.A. - the heart of ginseng country, Hsu's Ginseng is the largest American ginseng farming and retail operation in the United States. Paul C. Hsu, the first Chinese grower in North America, has been growing, selling and exporting the highest quality American ginseng since 1974 and currently has over 1,000 acres of prime ginseng farmland available for cultivation.
Hsu’s Ginseng was originally founded as a small mail order business and has since become an international enterprise with offices around the world. In 2011, the family's second generation was integrated into the company ensuring that we will continue to honor our tradition of growing and supplying consumers around the globe with the highest quality, American ginseng available.
We are very proud of our farm operations and are willing to share with you the entire experience from seed to root harvest including a stop at our cultivated ginseng gardens. The growing season offers various aspects of cultivation so feel free to ask what is currently taking place.
You will also have the opportunity to see the processing and packaging of ginseng products at Hsu’s Ginseng world headquarters. Here you will learn about Hsu’s Ginseng, the history of the ginseng industry, see the products and visit our store for that special item.
